Artists Communicate Through Their Work.
Questions
What is this artwork intended to say?
This project was a color project and it was also supposed to demonstrate an emotion so this art was intended to depict  freedom. I feel like this was a good depiction of this. I used the idea of a girl floating away over building tops by balloons.
What issues are you examining through your artwork?
Some issues I examined was the perspective and angling the girl and the balloons in perspective to the building tops. I also had to consider the wind and how I would have to angle everything to really capture the look I was striving for. I found that those things were just okay in this work.

How is this artwork about who you are or what you like?
I like balloons and I like flying and I like the movie UP so

Questions
Did you learn new techniques or processes as part of the work for this project?
In the process of this project I learned about the perspective technique and I took this and turned it into the girl floating away and holding onto balloons. I took this process and really used it for the wind part of the project. That was the key part in actually making it look like the wind was blowing her away.

Did you gain skill with familiar materials?
Not really because before this the only 3D drawing I could do was a box, I guess I gained skill with acrylic paint.

Questions
Did you ask another student for feedback during your work process?
I did ask other students for feedback during this process. The feedback I needed was in regard to the girl and how to angle her to make it look like she was being pulled away by the balloons.

Did someone help you understand important information or inspire you?
Yes, some of the people at my table did give me some ideas that in the end became crucial to the look of the painting. They gave me the idea to paint her hair so that it would look like it was flowing in front of her face. I feel like that really helped capture the intended look and helped it look more realistic.
